What is Slicing the PIE™
Inspired by a fundraising event conducted in 2014 called Sweet Potato PIE™, where members of Zion City Church came together in a sweet potato pie cook-off, the slogan Slicing the PIE™ was coined in this Black/African American tasty cultural culinary tradition to raise awareness and funds in an effort to help support initiatives that provide resources and opportunities to families and children living in underserved communities, ultimately leading to greater equity and socio-economic justice.

We are a Christian organization of members from a former church and other churches reorganized according to our expertise within the Slicing the PIE™ narrative and structure and under the new Zion City, Inc., brand.
