What is Slicing the PIE™

Inspired by a fundraising event conducted in 2014 called Sweet Potato PIE™, where members of Zion City Church came together in a sweet potato pie cook-off, the slogan Slicing the PIE™ was coined in this Black/African American tasty cultural culinary tradition to raise awareness and funds in an effort to help support initiatives that provide resources and opportunities to families and children living in underserved communities, ultimately leading to greater equity and socio-economic justice.

Who are we?

We are a Christian organization of members from a former church and other churches reorganized according to our expertise within the Slicing the PIE™ narrative and structure and under the new Zion City, Inc., brand.

Three Key Ingredients:

There are three primary divisions of focus through which we use to communicate our Slicing the PIE™ message.

These three key ingredients in our “secret recipe” are enhanced by several activities including: content development, ministry and spiritual product design, provision of spiritual tools and resources, and material license and distribution.

All these things are used to employ and empower individuals and/or assist faith based institutions in their ability to seek, find, and pursue first the Kingdom of God, become His workmanship, and bring into reality His Divine will and plan for humankind.
